Lauri Miller - Flat Lay

I wanted to get an old timey feel to my image this week so I started with a Lensbaby Velvet. This image uses a Velvet 28 lens. I used a piece of parchment paper for the background and added a texture in PS. Years ago, a friend had given me a shoe box full of bird’s nests collected from a farm in rural Wisconsin. The light blue eggs are empty shells from an old western blue bird nest I found in our 5th wheel hitch. Yes, we went far too long without using it! The yellow bird book is one my Mom had as a child.

Do you want to nudge the stray clip? Do you want to position all the clips evenly along the edge of the ruler? Do you want to find more clips to fill in the rest of the space? Gaaah!

Lauri Miller - Jagged

This is an indoor, tall, gangly cactus with a lot of texture and jagged edges. (My husband wants me to toss this plant out!) There are several separate spindles of the plant in the photo, but the spikes you see is a straight on view of the edge of one of these spindles. I used a Velvet 85 lens.
