This was quite a journey this week, coming up with ideas and having to make a multitude of adjustments in my expectations to get to this photo. It just so happened we had a dear, dear family friend visiting. I had one evening I could gather my family and this friend for some photographs. I am on a ladder with the camera while our friend, my sister and my husband are seated at the table. I was losing the natural light as we waited for my niece and her boyfriend to arrive, so I decided to start without them. One thing led to the next. I pulled out an old photo of my Mom to include to round out the places. You might think "seance", but our Mom is very much alive, enjoying her retirement. Happy Mother's Day, Mom! I cropped to accentuate the round table. I added a texture (25% opacity) using Marcia Myers texture "blueangelinafiber". I used the gradient tool in the corners to create the effect of old time photo corners. This helps hide the leg of my ladder and the edge of a rocking chair as well as add another roundness effect.
