I had my sister roll a die for me. She rolled a 3 so here is my analogous photo for this week. I decided I liked this photo the best of my options due to the reflections I was able to get on the plate from the three peppers. I adjusted the shadows/highlights/whites/blacks and cropped a sliver off the left side. ISO 200, f/5.6, 1/8 sec, tripod.
I must tell you, I had the most uncooperative model for this exercise! The biggest issue was getting her to sit still for her photograph! I apologize for the reflection in the glasses. This was missed until the photos were imported and by that time my model was completely uncooperative and refused to participate in any further photo sessions. The photo had the typical LR editing done, with a slight crop on the top and bottom and use of the spot healing tool on the previously silver rivets on the sewing machine to allow them to blend in a little more. In PS I removed the reflection in the pupils using the spot healing tool, but this was not going to work for the rest of the reflections. I found an option to copy from one side if there were minimal reflections, but in this case, I decided to let it go. I knew this would be a challenging week for me and oh how right I was. I tried lots of different ideas, unhappy with all of them usually because I could not get my focus set up properly. I had a remote release that I’ve been using all along so that part went ok. ISO 400, f/9.0, ¼ sec., stack of books in lieu of a tripod.
